The brand scheme Spesialitet

Spesialitet is a quality label that helps you find some of the best local food and drink Norway has to offer.

Only products assessed and approved by an independent panel of highly qualified food experts are awarded the label.

an independent jury

Two times a year, an independent panel of food experts assesses which products meet the requirements for Spesialitet.

Norwegian ingredients and Craftmanship

The main ingredient must be Norwegian. Each product has a handcrafted character and is made using its own recipe.

Local value creation

Production and packaging take place in Norway, and each product has a clear local connection.

The jury

Every product carrying the Spesialitet label has been assessed and approved by an independent panel of food experts. The aim is to make it easier for you to discover exceptional flavours.

Twice a year, the jury meets to assess Norwegian local food and drink. The jury considers factors such as taste, aroma, ingredients, recipe and craftsmanship, and compares each product with others in the same category. Only the best products are awarded the Spesialitet label.
